Hi everyone. As I promised in my introduction post here are my first items. This is a skull series and my first objects are 2 cups, an espresso and a classic. I tried to keep a very simple and clean design. I like the idea to create a little universe and I intend to decline the skull them in many object with many different skull motif. I looked forward to your opinions. Sorry again for my English.
Hi Julien, Welcome to Shapeways. Don't worry: your English is as good as mine (I am French too ;-) Regarding your skulls, they look very nice but I am afraid that they are pretty angular. Taken from the material page: Try to keep a radius of at least 2mm on the edges. Good luck with your first prints!
For miniature , ornamental can pass in plastics. But for ceramics , check the 2 mm limit and you must round any angular edge ... Yes that means you must change a little bit the overall look of the skulls eye/teeth/...etc They look good. Reminds me about a cartoon character ... a skull one!
Thank you for the reply and advice, I appreciate very much. I corrected the cups they are more round and the minimum thickness is very slightly greater than 3mm. tell me what you think.
The top handle / and the rim crease it is not good , leave it like it is in first only round the corners .... without that valley in there. That it is the only part i see not passing. Or you can try to order it and see what engineers say!
