Hello-
I don't wear earrings, but I would like to adapt one of my pendant models to become a set of pierced earrings (the kind with the pins integral to the main body).
What would be your recommendations for the technical specs on this adaptation (length and diameter of the pin, angle of the point, etc.)?
Assuming the item would be made of suitable material, would there be any problem with Shapeways supplying a pair of the backs (for a slight fee) with each set? That would mean that Shapeways would control the consistency of the pin specs.
Or would it be better so that (like the pendants where the buyer has to supply the chain) the designer/maker has to make it clear that the buyer has to supply the backs?
It's just an idea right now, thanks for your consideration.
