Zmodeler and 3dsmax are doing a poor job with the boolean operations.
If you will save the file as an STL, and then grab a copy of Netfabb Basic from www.netfabb.com
You can open the file and see that around the edges there is a yellow line (hole in the model)

You can attempt to fix it in Netfabb, but often you're better off fixing it in the original program you drew it in.
But, Netfabb at least shows you where the problems are..

In case you don't know the steps to repair the model from here, check out this tutorial:

As Stony said, those yellow lines are holes in your model. When you upload, our software heals the model, but it doesn't know how you'd like it healed. So it closes the holes the way it sees fit. In netfabb, there is a heal function. If you close holes, you'll probably get the same results as your shapeways upload. I have no experience with your software to be able to help you create a closed model unfortunately.

    There is a solution.
I replied to a thread on how to fix problems like this but I can't find the link.
Pick the 'Add triangles' icon in Netfabb to fill the holes in a way you want.
Send me the file by PM or my email below if you get stuck.
