So, anyone have experiences with making translucent forms? I'm trying to make a lamp shade to replace a broken one that isn't made anymore. I'm thinking of making it from the strong and flexible white plastic, but I have no idea what wall thickness will produce a nice diffuse light for a 60W equivalent CFL. Any ideas?

Maybe 1-2mm would be ok.

No comparison to a 60w equiv CFl, gut these are 1mm wall thickness sat on brit white LEDS

Thanks Paul. That gives me a pretty good idea of what it will look like. That's the standard white plastic you're showing there right?
