I recently bought a small chassis from Minitrains.eu, as it gave a great opportunity to 'scratch' build an 009 gauge (1:76) model of a Porter locomotive.
A couple of hours behind the drawing board and a fast order from Shapeways ended up with this.
Here it is with the first layers of primer.
I then decided to split the watertabk from the main body, as it would allow me to fill it with Liguid Lead. This would give the locomotive a bit more weight and thus pulling power.
Some brass tubing, wires and hanrail knobs gave me the following result.
To be able to to sand the tank as smoth as possible, I added the rivets afterwards with rivet decals.
And finally ended up with this little model:
