|Key for antique Chinese lock and Lunar Lander [message #72705] Tue, 06 August 2013 17:25 UTC
I have an antique Chinese cabinet that I inherited from my mother, with a unique brass lock. The key had disappeared while settling her estate. I had kept the lock unlocked, but used half of it to secure two of the doors. A few months ago, I accidently closed the two halves while shutting the doors. Oops. The key was Z shaped, so using the lock as a guide, I modeled a key in Blender and sent the model off to you guys to have one made. |
I just got the package and the first thing I did was to try the key. It worked the first time!
The parts for the lunar lander look good, especially the detail of the small cross members. I'm going to have to learn how to dye them and glue them together. I can use the Chinese key as a test strip for the dyes.
