literally in my backyard... well not literally... down the street, really. 3d printing expo just finding out about it. i will be there for sure... would be interested to see if there are any others like me in the area. chris
The first time I clicked the link it directed me here, every time after that it went to the correct location.
Yep. Some encripted javascript embedded in the header of that page... hope that the organizers try to make a little ad money themselves, rather than having been hacked to distribute the trojan-du-jour.
did that to me too... thought that it was an anomaly. very poor website design too. must bring it up to them.
Interesting! Please do some networking and see if they'd be interested in working with us on a Shapeways community event! Bart
The meeting went great.. wall to wall people for most of the day. Final tally for attendees on Saturday was 323 in the room, 157 by the table out front. Represented were several hobby level RepRap machines, a company selling pre-built RepRaps, plus a company that does 3d services such as scanning, printing etc. Several of the people I talked to were aware of Shapeways, but had not purchased anything yet.
It's not a repeating event (yet), but I can see that it might become one. FYI.. if anyone is interested, there is a Blender Meetup over in Dallas the weekend of Sept 21, 2013
