How to make a chocolate swirl?

  1. Hi guys,

I would like to make the swirls of chocolate (2D, 3 x 3 x0,2 in).

First I had printed the figure. Then I did a reverse figure from food-safe silicone. So far so good, but unfortunately this does not resolve to a piece of the silicone (figure with base) because it is very delicate, the chocolate. Another figure without base is hard to handle.

Next, I did a reverse figure-plastic print. With a smaller figure made of plastic, which is actually the goal of close, I wanted to push out the chocolate. The problem is that the plastic is too elastic and expands the interior of the figure, if I want to push it out.

What could be the solution? A figure made of metal? Good ideas?

    greets, jo

    Welcome to the forums.

So, you want to 3D print a device that can push the solidified chocolate out of the mold? Is this what you are asking?

Can you send us a picture of the silicone mold that you made?

From the sounds of it, the Silicone is too soft. you could print it in Ceramics, food safe and rigid.
