Yeah, pretty much. I feel it's easier, a more organic program to use, coming from a more traditional background of sculping (plus I tend to get confused quite easily when things become too technical!!)
- nice portfolio of work by the way

Thanks, I'm thinking of getting Z Brush, did you have a steep learning curve, what hardware are you using.

I'm using a dell laptop - an inspiron 9400, not that powerfull (it slows down loads when the polygon count gets too high)
Really, you just need to go through a couple of tutorials (supplied with zbrush) to grasp the basics, it took me a few days before I could sculpt something - it's like learning how to use photoshop for the first time, and is no where near as complicated as 3dsmax.
The only thing I'd like to point out is that it's allot more organic than something like max, the process of creating something is completley different. For the first few sculpts you will end up with something which will not look properly finished, something akin to what a kid would sculpt out of clay - a little messy!
Download the trial version first to see if you get along with it

Many thanks Chani,
I'm afraid that the doctor who sculpts are not for sale - they were prototype toys created for the toy company character options!

Those 28mm figures with heavy weapons, are those from the Kolony range by Pig Iron? I'm almost afraid to ask what something like that would cost.

I'm almost afraid to ask what something like that would cost. I've been trying to design some 28mm Bear men for sci-fi miniatures games sadly its still mostly on paper since I'm still trying to learn 3D modeling presently.

Yes, your correct!!
I worked with Simon Jackson from Pig Iron to produce this range.
E-mail me with what your budget is, what the current progress of your models are, and maybe we can figure something out.

Hi Akeno,
Yes, for the majority of the time I work with Acrylics, although I occasionally work with Oils (which are better for blending, and are ideal for painting realistic silicone pieces)
Thanks
