This material is watertight, not dishwasher safe, is recyclable, and is food safe. It is heatproof to 500C/932F degrees. Higher temperatures may significantly change material properties.

I would say no to the microwave to be safe.

I've wondered for some time. If it is waterproof and heatproof to 500C/932F degrees, then why is it not dishwasher safe? Is it just a matter of some designs being too fragile or is it a material issue?

The glazed area is waterproof. The unglazed, not so much. That mixed with the high pressure jets. Our ceramic process isn't as strong as traditional ceramic production.
