Vase made from eight tentacles that grow down and then curl up again. I originally made it as a background element for a Cthulhu centric animation I was working on and decided I wanted one for myself.
I thought the picture would look better if I showed it in use, so I went across the street and picked a couple dandelions that managed to escape the lawn mower this morning. I figured no one would mind if I took a dandelion or two. They might even be grateful, though I've always been quite fond of dandelions."I am just a humble servant with a message here for you"
Thanks! It wasn't specifically meant to be Cthulhu themed, so octopus vase works just as well. I just wanted to give Cthulhu's study an underwater motif. You can see the original version of it in this early render of the scene.
The one you see on the mantle is much larger and the tentacles are much more spread out, but I had to make some adjustments for print.
