I notice that in the description of stainless steal, it says that enterlocking parts are a no-go. Why is this? What if it's something as simple as 3 circles passing through each other to form a borromean ring?

Aaah... Borromean Rings in Stainless Steel...
I remember the good old times...

Moving parts are no mre alowed in Stainles Steel. I guess it was difficult to maintain the different part at the right distance during the bronze infusion, and thus this was not cost effective for Shapeeways.
I would be ready to pay the handling fee per moving part instead of per model if this was restored back...

So many things to design, so little time...

It's technically possible, here's another borromean rings, but the metal guys don't really like doing it.
