On amazon garden gnomes are furiously expensive to liberate into my yard. Why are there not hundreds of awesome BIG models here (necessarily less costly than on amazon) ??

especially with prevalance of gnomes and

Not sure what you call "furiously expensive", but I suspect they would not be at all cheap on Shapeways either - unless they are really small gnomes Smile

Check out the prices of larger WSF or Sandstone objects in the shops.

Don't you think ceramic would be ideal material for garden gnomes?

Only very small ones, from Shapeways --> ceramics design guidelines

Max wall thickness 15mm, and if you make the model hollow you pay for the inside surface area as well as the outside.
