Bahamas Themed Jewelry

Discussion in 'My Shapeways Order Arrived' started by 221158_deleted, Jan 6, 2013.

  1. My wife is from the Bahamas and I wanted to make her something for our 2nd year anniversary that would remind her of home.

    These are my first prints with Shapeways and it was really cool seeing them for the first time in person.
    They were printed in silver glossy, but both of them needed some additional polishing which I had a local jeweler do. I think I may learn how to do it myself for future projects.

    She loved them :)

    These are really lovely,

    You should make them available for others to buy. (if your wife does not mind :)

    That ring is gorgeous! Well done :)

  7. Yeah the thought crossed my mind, but I don't think I could do that. I may work on some others that are similar in style, but I feel like since it was an anniversary gift it should be one of a kind.

    @thekarolina, thank you :)

  9. it's so great !
    And can I ask you a question,
    which software didi you use to make it , for I think CAD or Solidworks is hard to make a model like this.
    :p

  10. Thanks duann.

    @kaikaiwang

    I use 3D Studio Max 2012.

    My day job is motion graphics and visual effects, and I'm most comfortable with 3ds max.
