How to fix zero wall thickness

Discussion in 'Design and Modeling' started by 144832_deleted, Jul 23, 2012.

  1. I am trying to print a mesh which at the moment has zero wall thickness. You can see in the screenshot that the faces are completely planar, like a paper being rolled up. So the STL is not being detected as solid.

I am wondering if someone knows an easy way to convert the mesh to one which has some thickness so that it can be printed. Is there a feature in netfabb or meshlab that converts flat walls into thicker ones? Thanks!!
