Finally got around to printing this little scarab in polished bronze, and the quality of the print is terrific. Very happy with the polish and detail in this material...starting to look like a genuine piece of jewelry!

Raw bronze has a nice texture but a particularly raw patina, quite mottled; I think the photo, if anything, looks a bit more charming than the real thing. Polish goes a long way.

Thanks to Shapeways for continuing to push the technology. Can't believe what's possible now, even compared to the first metal prints I unboxed several years ago.

Really shiny and I love the details underneath the scarab. We featured your scarab on our blog.

Those are fantastic! I like the raw bronze patina especially as it mirrors the natural iridescence of the beetle.

Love that Polished Bronze. I haven't actually got anything printed in this yet but will definitely do so. I like the Raw Bronze metal but I'm not keen on seeing the print lines. Polish takes care of that.
