Hi

Im making some stones with symbols on them. The problem is the symbols are detailed and the stones are simple. I want to embed the symbols into the stone and print them in full color sandstone.

Im using Maya 2013
What I was going to do was draw out the shapes with the polygon tool, and mold the stone around it. Some of these symbols are complex.

What I wanted to ask was, in order to submit a model for printing, do the faces on the models all need to be quaded (square with 4 verts each) or can they be triangles? I wasnt sure if it mattered or not, but it will all be a single object in the end.
