Miniature (working) Ant Farm as a wearable brooch/pin

Is this something that could be done? I don't really know anything about this 3d printer world, but would LOVE to wear a tiny farm that I could be filled with sand for the day and let an ant run wild for a day while I wear it around town and then release at the end of the day.

Come on...so many people would want this. Make it happen internet!

None of the Shapeways materials are clear enough to emulate transparent glass.
You likely could print a "maze" support structure and then glue glass (similiar to microscope slides) to the front/back of it.

Might be interesting to do some Mandelbrot design to it.

<joke>But if you do, I'm calling PETA for cruelty to Ants.</joke>
After wearing it all day long, that's going to be one DIZZY ant.
