The hole for chain is 3.5 mm with the "Oriented Bounds" means that the chain hole is 3.0 mm and renders my pendant useless cause a chain is 3 mm thick , when I modeled 3.5 mm exact measure , same measure in NETFAB reported.
How can i make another product now when the measures are reported incorrect ?
If you go into edit mode on your item you will see the Original Bounds and the Oriented Bounds. The oriented bounds is the smallest possible bounding box of the item. This is for determining density discounts and print-ability in materials. So look at your item in edit mode, for a box that looks like the attached image. The Original bounds should match what you are expecting.
In the case of oriented bounds, it only means that you could rotate the object in such a way that it would fit into the smaller bounding box show there.
