Hey - you are getting quick you guys !
In response to a request on a forum I uploaded a new model on the 6th of January and announced on the forum that I had done this.
I was surprised today to see someone had left a comment on it, but even more surprised and pleased when I read he was complementing me what a nice model it was - in-between the 6th and the 14th(today) he had suggested it on the forum , I'd designed it ( it's a simple re-hash of an existing design), he had read about it on the forum, saying that I had done it , ordered it from Shapeways , you had made and delivered it and he had received it.
This just goes to show both the speed of Shapeways and the power of 3-d printing - 8 days between having an idea, someone making that idea into producible item and his idea arriving in physical form on his doorstep. - and all for less than 100$.
