I am trying to help a friend do a few patterns for a switch box to be used in a locomotive. The patterns will be to use in a casting machine to produce white metal fittings.

He would like to have letting on the parts. Does any one have experiance with doing this. Looking for how small the lettering can be and still be reproduced.

It all depends on how small you want the letters. <grin>

These are 1/2 inch tall.. it's conceivable to do letters down to 2mm tall.
