After toiling away at my model for weeks, I finally upload it, tweak the size and order it. Payment went through and paypal confirmed the money. A week later, today, I check the order status here on shapeways and it says canceled. What the hell? My bank didn't get any refund, paypal has no balance but there is a credit on this shapeways account. Was I supposed to get an email explaining why my model was canceled? What the hell, shapeways? If it was canceled where is my refund? Is this a fluke or what?

You were supposed to get an email, but recently that part was broken. Email service, and they'll tell you all the details. Basically when your order is rejected, you get a gift code to try again. You want it back to your account, you have to contact service about that.
