Sandstone is currently sealed with superglue. To be exact it says this on the material page "The products are then finished with cyanoacrylate (same stuff super glue is made of) sealant to ensure durability and more vivid colors."The Mad Moder

In addition to what's mentioned above, I recently had a model in colored sandstone that I ordered that broke prior to shipping, that I was able to repair with super glue quite easily. (Customer service had sent me a photo and gave me the option to accept as is, or request a re-print, and I could tell that it was a simple break with plenty of surface area to be able to make a good bond.)
