|3d robot hand printed as one [message #49019] Mon, 28 May 2012 13:27 UTC
Hi, I recently designed a robot hand that is printed in one piece. All the hinges and printed in place, so that there is no need for assembly for the underlying hand. Tendons need to be added later, but there are no screws or any other fasteners required.|
Here it is painted up, with some tendons attached.
My development blog is here
I also just had it mentioned on boingboing
Right now I'm working on adding servos and hope to have a video out soon. I also plan to start an indiegogo campaign to help fund the Mk3. Mk2 hands will be part of the rewards I have in mind.
