Nice. Cool moving .gif too!

Enjoys spending 98 hours a week learning, making and designing stuff. The picture of me as a kid is... pretty much what you're dealing with.

Yes, i think you should continue. That's a great idea.
I would do two suggestions though:
- making the construction line not as high as the letter itself (everything is 0.2" now)
- adding a loop or a hole on the top to make a pendant: it would be nice to have a necklace with initials in this design, for instance

So many things to design, so little time...

in it's current form, it's more something that could be lasercut for far less $$, no?

i'd try and take advantage of the possibilities of 3d printing by adding some relief.

I thank you very much for your suggestions. I think you and Magic are absolutely right! I will revise the design and update it by the end of the day.

Since I have a fascination (see links below) for the Durer Alphabet, dated way back, in 80-90's - I really thank you ALL very much for helping me in completing this dear project of mine.

Here's a revised model as per Magic's and realdroon's suggestions:

Durer Alphabet - A - v1v2v3v4
http://www.shapeways.com/model/572363/

Study for a series that will include all letters in the Durer Alphabet
V1 is to use as a pendant with a lanyard looped on a circle.
V2 - is to link several letters horizontally and vertically using split "O" rings.
V3 - is to link several letters vertically in a pendant, using split "O" rings.
v4 - is to link several letters horizontally in a bracelet, using split "O" rings.
