Hi, I learned about Shapeways from a friend who offered to create a 3-d file of a symbol for me, but she has been busy and now doesn't have the time.) Now I'm obsessed with getting it done. I'm from the Midwest US. I'll use Shapeways for my jewelry designs. I don't have software and need to find someone who can do some work for me.

I know nothing of this stuff either, but have you tried SolidWorks? It's a great program, but it's not free. Ask someone about it, and look up some tutorials. I hear it's very user friendly.  Have a nice day!
