This may be the wrong board to ask this in, but this seemed like the best fit.
For WSF, there is a discount after 20cc and a density over 10%. I am wondering how shapeways calculates density?
Also, am I interpreting this correctly in that the in order for the discount to be applied, you have to have both the volume and density, not one or the other?

I can't be 100% sure of the actual method Shapeways uses, but Density (should be) equal to Material Volume divided by BoundingBox Volume
Consider this shape:

Lets say that it's measurements are 5cm*5cm*1cm
Then, the Material used is 4+4+1 = 9cm3, and the Bounding Box is 5x5x1 = 25cm3
That means this shape has a density of 9/25 = 36%
