Hi - I am an enamelist looking for a way to create items for enameling. The engraved areas would be filled with glass and fired.

I have a few questions:

Can Shapeways cast in pure (.999) silver or in Argentium silver, or just in SS (.925) ?

Can Shapeways cast or print in copper?

Can I get the design printed in wax for me to cast myself?

On wall heights, I can understand not having a thin wall with a very deep incising adjacent to it, making it tall and thin, but can I use a design that has a wall with a bed next to it at 1:1 then steps down deeper further from the wall?

Thanks - sorry if these are things I should know - I am new to this process.

cheers - elarnia

I can answer the metal questions for you. Right now Shapeways only offers Sterling. They are looking into other materials, and the was that they use is too fragile to ship.
