Hi my name is Matthew Plummer-Fernandez, my project Glitch Reality II was recently blogged by Shapeways
http://www.shapeways.com/blog/archives/1049-Analog-to-Digita l-to-Analog-Glitch-Reality-II.html

Its a project involving printing 3D scanned objects. It was such a fun and successful project that I havent stopped scanning objects since, and now I have a backlog of scans that require some mesh repair and wall thickness to make them 3D printable. If you would like to help out please let me know, I preferably need help from someone with experience in printing in coloured sandstone. Experience of glazed ceramics would be welcome too!
my email is plummerfernandez -at- gmail -dot- com

See my website and blog for examples:

some of the new work looks a bit like this:
