Do I need to make 1 solid object in order to be able to have it printed? [message #37635] Sun, 30 October 2011 21:47 UTC |

Due to my not-so-great English language skills, I've made 2 renders to show what I mean.
Shaded: http://www.pasteall.org/pic/show.php?id=19931
Wireframe: http://www.pasteall.org/pic/show.php?id=19932
Note: The ring and the cube have been joined, so they are 1 object.
Please tell me if Shapeways can print this model, or if I have to edit and retopologise it so that the part of the ring that is inside the stretched cube, is removed.
Many thanks!

That should be printable in any material as long as you meet the requirements for that material. http://www.shapeways.com/materials/
