I made this ring for my mother in law, its a hollow elephant with arabic text of Allah in hollow section. this is my first gold plated metal attempt, im quite happy with how it turned out, though maybe next time ill get it pollished as its a bit rough. I think it would really look great in silver.

Im not a religious person myself but i really love the religious iconography:)

if anyone has any hints to pollishing it that would be great.

Very nicely done. For some reason when first looking at it, it looked like ram horns on a wierd briar patch, then I realized that was the elephants head and then it looked much cooler! Doh!

I assume you mean the Polished Gold from Shapeways? Because, unfortunately you cannot polish gold-plated models yourself - the coating is too thin. In fact I don't get plated rings made anymore since on the ring I wore the plating just started coming off where it rubbed against the skin.

This would look good in polished silver, however, but keep in mind the inside won't receive much (or any?) polishing.
