I have an HD black box camera for my car. The post connecting the camera body to the mount was always a bit janky and wobbled side to side. I of course kept trying to tighten it until I sheared the two dinky feet off the post bottom.
Printed a new one in WSF just needs to be shot with black satin spray paint. I increased the ball diameter by 1.5mm and the post was both toughened up and added surface area in case I wanted to glue it. The tolerances were tight enough it snapped into place with no need for glue!
