Hi Shapeways fans,

Icosaix is a face-turning icosahedron twisty puzzle. Previous versions by Jason Smith and Bob Hearn worked well, but showed many tiny pieces at the outside. This version shows big, solid triangles at the outside. Some faces go over other faces while turning. Such overhang was first suggested by Jared B. McComb in 2009 on the Twisty Puzzles Forum.

Really beautiful. It's quite a wonder how in that last picture, it looks almost like the puzzle is starting to break, but it's all part of the engineering.
