Half Persian 4 in 1 chain maille sampler
I originally made some of this chain using real coloured aluminium wire (coiled and cut to make the rings) to get my head around how the rings are linked together. Making the chain in RL took minutes to master, figuring out the size, aspect ratio, angles and spacing suitable for 3D printing took hours.

The model for the large version has about 0.4mm spacing between the rings.

Just to see if it would work out or if they would get fused, I scaled the large version down by 55% - the spacing between the rings is just 0.22mm in the model. The large rings are 1.8mm wire and 9.9mm ID, the small rings are 1mm wire and 5.5mm ID, both have an aspect ratio of 5.5
