Today I was uploading a test design to have an idea of pricing.
After some tests I combined the same item in a single files as you can see here:
Now from my private area I see:
1. the test1 model is 8.3x12.8x7.2 cm for a volume of 134cm3
2. the test2 model is 5.3x41.8x7.2 cm for a volume of 133cm3

As I can see the test2 model is smaller in volume than test1 but the price of test2 is very very high that test1 model!

What is the policy in calculating pricing? The manner how I can combine items as importance in pricing determination?

Thanks to all.

Yes, there is a discount for "dense" models that exceed a certain volume for Strong and Flexible material.
See this article : http://www.shapeways.com/blog/archives/490-Significant-price -reduction-on-dense-models.html
More precisely, if your model is more than 20cm3 and if it is dense (that is: if the actual volume of the model is more than 10% of its bounding volume) then any extra cm3 after the 20th is half price.
