In the material specs alumide is listed as being heat-proof to 172 deg C, whereas the WSF is only rated to 80 deg C. Since the alumide is WSF with added aluminium, why is the temperature tolerance so much higher? Will it be weaker or susceptible to damage at above 80 deg C? I ask because with the high precision and heat tolerance, I'd be keen to use alumide for experiments in miniature steam turbines, but need to be aware of how it will deal with >100C temperatures for that.
