The puzzle one I could see as an unsolvable puzzle of sorts. The two model train links looks like the designers made a mistake as those tags are the only ones that seems out of place.

I think the designers made a mistake.
I removed the two models from the model trains gallery.
Regarding your question what to do about it: just mention it in the forum and we will take action.

Could this also be related to untagging not untagging mentioned in one of the latest updates?

In the latest update
Fixed a bug in the removal of products from categories. Sometimes the product stayed visible in a category, even when the category was removed from the product (caching issue)

Clear. And mo, these products were put into custom galleries (in this case the model trains gallery). The update was about removing your product from a category.

an observation from a noob... the gallery default is 'model trains' on the upload a model page... easily missed... perhaps make the default '-------' with the compulsory *

I believe the default is "no gallery", you have to press the Add button for the selector value to be applied.

click 'upload'... default for Category is 'Default', default for Gallery is 'Model Trains'... like i said, it is easily missed

Those may be the default items in the drop down boxes, but it is still only added after you click add (it will then appear below the selection box)
