Since I discovered Uni Posca markers while custom finishing a Kidrobot DIY Munny, I use them whenever I can. They give vibrant colors to almost any object. So when the next Alumide jacuzzi model arrived, I gave it a Uni Posca finishing. I've also used it on WSF, which works great as well.

So far, I worked with the WSF, Robust and Alumide materials. The ones that are porous - like WSF and Alumide - give the best and fastest results when working with these markers. This will probably apply to the Detail material as well.

The kids did some Uni Posca finishing on the models below. The Christmas ball is WSF and the other two are Robust. WSF looks good after a single finish, whereas the Robust material needs multiple layers for good coverage. The third picture is a close up of the Alumide jacuzzi. And yes, metalic colors exist as well, they have a kind of Alumide look. Plus, you can always give it an additional lacquer finish.

So, I was too impatient to order those paint markers...

So I used a highlighter.

it actually worked pretty good. I just "painted" my other iPhone stand with a blue highlighter and that worked pretty well. To get the black, I used a fountain pen. If you use an ink that is super thin like fountain ink, go really really easy on it. It really wanted to bleed everywhere.
