Dear community members,
Due to popular demand we are re-introducing Alumide. I am happy to say that now it will be a permanent material.
Based on what we have learned from the launch in March we have had to adapt some information.
Most importantly we have found our design rules for Alumide needed to be adapted. So please take special care when reading the wallthickness and detail information.
Enjoy,
Jo

Yay, now I can get my next order in Alumide
Just me or is this a little miss-worded in the Alumide link?
Please note that a model that can be printed in White, Strong and Flexible will automatically be printable in Alumide as this is not the case.

also, I didn't see any mention of clearance tollarance for moving parts. is that the same as the detail value, or should clearance between moving parts be even more?

There does seem to be a misprint, all my models are suddenly available in alumide, which is not good. Many require flexing and they break when made out of alumide (has already happened).
With the models I've printed in alumide, I've noticed that flat faces look very cool and metalic, almost shiny. But faces that are curved a lot develop a bumpier texture and don't look quite so nice and smooth.

Probably should automatically be off like the glass was. What happened to the next model button? I didn't work right in the gallery, but when working in my models it was very convenient for going from item to item to make across the board changes.
