I don't have a shop ( I am just at the learning stage) but I have made some of my models "public" and I would like to send a link to a few people to tell them about what I am doing. However the URL for my Model page just says: https://www.shapeways.com/mymodels which obviously won't link to my page unless I am signed in. Advice?
You can send them a link to a specific model: https://www.shapeways.com/model/570243/intersectingplanes.htm l Or.. click on one of yoru models and select the "permalink" button: https://shpws.me/6tvo Or, you can send them the link to all of your models: https://www.shapeways.com/designer/LesleyRobinson
The "link to a specific model" URL might change, for example if you change the model's title. So the "permalink" URL is usually the better choice.
If you change the name, the old URLs work. To be exact, you can write anything and they work. Compare the following: https://www.shapeways.com/model/570243/intersectingplanes.htm l https://www.shapeways.com/model/570243/random-text-here https://www.shapeways.com/model/570243/ What matters is "models/570243/".
Oh, updates ? Nice. Not so long ago, it was already problematic if one just forgot the last "/" in the URL.
Right, the last "/" is not needed now (at SW, some other places have a different set of rules). With "model/" and a number it works.
