    Hello,

I almost tried everything (14 uploads  )but I still get a e-mail back that said " There was an issue with uploading your model test10 to Shapeways. Your model has inverted normals in it."

I work whit Rhino 4 and this is the result of the command "checkmesh" everything seams OK to me...
I tried to load the STL into MeshLab and then re-saved it in STL, I tried also Accutrans and it in DAE... but nothing help...

Can anybody take a look at my file and help me out ?
    thanks,

    Fred,

    "result of checkmesh of Rhino4.0"

    This is a good mesh.

    General information about this mesh:
Mesh does not have any degenerate faces.
Mesh does not have any zero length edges.
Mesh does not have any non manifold edges.
Mesh does not have any naked edges.
Mesh does not have any duplicate faces.
Mesh does not have any faces that could make it better if their directions were flipped.
Mesh does not have any disjoint pieces.
Mesh does not have any unused vertices.

    Hello,
some operations u've made don't close well your forms. For rounded form, use surface by sections to join them with tangency. Don't deal with rails.
That's what I find. I also have problem with inverted normals.

me I converted my object nurbs in mesh with this configuration (to note that its depend of unity (me it is mm and of the coin of 10-50mm)

and export in .stl I validate on freecad

    Fred,

I don't know if you're doing the right thing.
Just upload the file at the forum here and somebody will try to fix it for you. If you don't want the file in public, you can sent it to blueskygnome@hotmail.com and I'll have a peek.

    Greetings AO

    Hi atelier-dynomant

You can also send the stl file to service@shapeways.com and we will have a look at it

    Hi,

I must say that the original file is from Arkey (customer), I get it per mail, as an DWG, then I open it into Rhino en to maken an STL....

    Hi Ralph,

We talked ( Fred and me ) allready on the phone about the dwg he had received. I tried all kind of conversions ( Fred also ) to get a good stl. It was just impossible, the only solution left was to model it again or to get the file in another format ( step or iges ), and then we could try again to make a proper stl.

    Greetings AO
