Retail display

  1. Hey,
We have been away for a bit so haven't posted anything latley. I am working on a way to display our rings nicely in retail shops. I would like it to be unique and reflect our style. I have come up with some simple wood "Australian Iron Bark" blocks with our monogram engraved and a groove for the ring to sit in. I can't say i am sold? We are using them in a shop now so i guess they will do for now. I have another display solution in progress and will post once completed.
The blocks are machined on my CNC router that i built, very handy bit of kit to have lying around.

What's not to like? If I saw that in a store, I'd want to buy the ring AND the stand!

Those cuts look razor sharp. Very nice work.

Have you done any 3D milling on your machine?

  6. Hey,
thanks for the kind words everyone.
@stuartar, the retail shop is in Sydney Australia and is called Polymorph.
@aeron203, the whole reason i built the CNC Mill was for 3D milling but i have been side tracked with 3D printing instead. I am thinking of using MeshCam when i finally get around to it.
