As promised earlier, a few pictures of our take at the impossible triangle. In contrat to other attempts to create such a thing, it does not contain any hidden twists or openings.

The illusion works very nicely from a reasonable distance and with proper light. Wish we could make it a lot bigger....

If you are into optical illusions, check it out.

    Cool/weird

Do you have any images on a plain background so we can see what is happening here?

One in the palm of a hand would be cool too?

    Cheers

Also a picture from different angles would be nice, if it's not too much trouble :D

I tried to look at it in 3d view in your shop but I get this:

    impossibleTile.JPG

Of course, it is an impossible shape, so that would explain it I guess...

What, you think people actually read that ;) Sorry... I wasn't expecting such secrecy, I'd want to know what I was getting before forking out 60 euros, but that's just me :)

Hmmm... Sandstone & (mostly/fully) flat. Maybe alumide with slight non flat or textured top (wild and second guess, all alumide experience based in photos)...hhmmm

Wow, that's pretty cool! Are all the "cubes" the same size, or did you make them bigger to make the perspective correct from a fixed distance?

And how did you disable the 3D view? Ahhh ... it is co-creator, sneaky!

Gah, I think I see what you did there. Sneaky, very sneaky.

What material was that printed in? It looks like WSF to me, but I'm not sure...

It's actually Alumide and we're thinking of a larger version in one of the other plastics, possibly white or black detail.

    Very clever design, congrats.
May I suggest bevelling all the edges?

We are working on a beveled version.

Due to popular demand, there is now also a video of the product.

I was even expecting it and it still blew my mind. I love illusions like that. Well done, and thanks for the video!

Indeed, the video is very well done!! I agree the model seems to turn in the opposite direction from the hand, and this is reminiscent of a hollow face illusion. I think something similar may be going on.

Often videos of an optical illusion are taken from a fixed point, and the object does not rotate. For example, the waterfall video that was mentioned. But the Impossible Triangle shows the object rotating! Well done! :D Somebody order one and show us what is really going on!
