  1. Vantage is available to buy from HERE, but if you need these instructions, then you probably know that already. ;)

When you receive your Vantage figure, it should look something like this (click for larger picture):

The kit consists of 18 parts:

    1 - Robot head
    2 - Neck mount
    3 - Left torso
    4 - Right torso
    5 - Left upper arm
    6 - Right upper arm
    7 - Left forearm
    8 - Right forearm
    9 - 2x upper legs (identical)
    10 - Left lower leg
    11 - Right lower leg
    12 - Gun barrel
    13 - Bipod
    14 - Magazine
    15 - Standard 5mm peg handle
16 - 5mm peg handle with 3mm diameter clip, aligned along length of gun
17 - 5mm peg handle with 3mm diameter clip, aligned perpendicular to length of gun

Remove the sprue pieces with a sharp knife or clippers and clean the model pieces of any resulting flash. It's a good idea at this point to clean the model with a stiff brush (I use an old nylon paintbrush) to clear out any unsintered powder that may have been left behind from the printing; pay particular attention to any crevices.

Start by assembling the main robot pieces together as in the image below; these all snap into place with simple hinges and ball joints, so no glue is required here.

Now turn your figure so its back faces you to attach the final components:

The bipod clips onto the back of the left ankle:

The gun magazine clips into the cavity in the back of the left torso half, and can then fold flat against the back:

And finally, choose which gun handle best suits your purposes (here I've chosen the perpendicular clip). This is then clipped into the cavity in the back of the right torso half, and again can be folded in flat against the back:

Congratulations! Your Vantage figure is now assembled!

NB: If by any chance you find any of the joints to be a little loose even after painting and varnishing (this can easily happen even with mass-produced figures), apply a thin layer of liquid superglue or nail polish to the male part of the joint and allow it to cure. Test fit the joint, and repeat if necessary.

  2. Now you've got your Vantage figure assembled, you'll want to know how to transform him into his gun form. All images are clickable and link to larger versions.

Twist the forearms by 90 degrees so that the tops of the fists face inward. Twist the lower legs by 90 degrees so that the fronts of the shins face outward.

Separate the left and right halves of the body and swing them out and up so that the tops of the chest halves meet and the shoulders cover the head. There are tabs and slots in the shoulders and upper arms which should fit together to secure them.

Flip out the gun barrel from the front of the left leg.

Flip down the gun handle and magazine and peg them into place.

Now Vantage is in his gun form. If you want extra stability for sniping, you can also flip down his bipod stand:

    Enjoy! :)
