    Cool stuff Dizingof!
maybe time to buy an Iphone one day......
can i buy this cool stuff :D

The shapeways cards you see there,, actually all of the cards are from shapeways, apart from an order!

the new package cards i received,, where sended to see how cool they are and what versions they have!

the other cards are from an event i've been,, promoting my trains and shapeways

    as you can see:
    not everything was sold :)

    come on all people!

it's not that hard to make a picture of your collection :D

  5. I'll post one soon, since most of my pieces are almost done with post-processing (i.e. painting) barring my Despoiler, but I think I'll wait for a few days, since I've also got a ring coming in a few days, and I might as well put that in the pic too, once it arrives.

It IS hard to photograph your *entire* collection! :) It took me a long time to put this together and it's not even half of what I have.

    But ...

It was actually lot of fun to arrange everything on one shelf, even though the picture isn't as impressive to look at as the picture in my head lol. It was
a nice break to take from designing and gave me more ideas. I recommend it.

    A little note:

I have only some of the smaller things purchased from other designers here. I was able to fit them into the picture by putting them on a wooden box
in the back corner of the shelf as shown in the picture.

    Another little note:

This was a great excercise in display. I still have a lot to work on. Thanks to Jettuh, I am now thinking about ways to display my pieces and the
pieces I've bought from others in our living room on a proper display shelf.

Great idea, J -- I will absolutely do this! Just need to get pieces home from work. They're decorating my desk right now. :)

    WOW..

Hey Whystler, how does the flute type object sound? Is there a standard mouth piece you are using? Can you upload a youtube clip? would love to hear it...

I also found a cool way to deal with the large number of boxes that end up on your doorstep (if you have kids).
Makedo http://makedo.com.au/ sell packs of connectors based on 'cable ties' so you can assemble disparate objects together. Perfect for cardboard the kit includes a tool that punches holes for the connectors and a nifty cardboard saw, you also get some hinges to make moving(ish) parts.

    Hey hey,

Thanks for your question! Check out the product page and look at the comments.

In the comments I have posted sound files so you can hear it.

This is a musette, or picolo oboe. So, it uses a reed (an oboe reed) as a mouthpiece.

    Drscott,

    i haven't got kids, i'm a kid myself (19).
but i've got over 30boxes at home from shapeways, so if your looking for boxes, you can drive by!

  15. That might be a bit of a trek. :p

@Chaitanyak: That turntable's a brilliant idea! Did you build that for display purposes? It might be a good idea to add some plain fabric or paper to the top to make a nice surface for photos. :)
