    Hi all,

I am an experienced 3D specialist, with a taste for new technologies. Starting my work with MATLAB software (project of creating special graphical core) I started designing with my own way of solving problems of the computational geometry.

Now I create unique 3D printed goods by my own Grasshopper for any CAD and offer for all new type of art items named as Panguver Amalham. It is sharp and liquid metal free-form shapes woven together. All products are light and durable at the same time. They are created according to the requirements of ergonomics, so they are very nice to wear. At present I still working on jewelry creation tools based on my own generative design principles. However, several creators for jewelry and tableware are already working. My solutions are able to create any predefined art items which based on any allowable forms and ornaments.

I have problem in uploading my huge collections to my shapeways shop. I can create several nice rings and put it on another site during process of place one of it here. However, I am open to requests for copying my designs from my main other store to my Shapeways shop. Ask me for creating similar items in other forms, ornaments and sizes which you would like and I will create and place it to my Shapeways shop, it is free.

I will be glad if my product will appeal to many peoples here.

    Sincerely.

    Panguver,
    Shop owner,
    3D designer and developer.

PS. I'm sorry for my not quite good English.

    Thanks for your answer.

It is not biggest problem to upload my models. Main problem is long time for make renders and setup designer's fee for items. On one competitor I set %% fee on 15% as default and correct it for some materials if it needs. On another competitor I can set %% by materials, but on Shapeways it is full sucks, sorry. And by default designer's fee is null! It is incredible!

But I want to suggest my models for any customers by demand for ordering by Shapeways? Is it not good?

How I could be suggest my designs without mass-uploading it during several months? In last time I create 100+ designs in week for my shop on ETSY and it is big problem for uploading it on Shapeways.

Ask me for current model from main store today and it will be placed on Shapeways store tomorrow. Is it not good? Alternatives?

    Sincerely,
    Panguver.

PS. My main store has also functions for measuring models and printability test for any scales/materials. Shapeways has no one, but suggest many beautiful materials with good prices.

PPS. Here (competitors link) I try to solve printability problems by posting links to my item with measuring screens. Is it possible to discuss about similar problems here?

Renders, are automatic. You can even set the orientation of the renders on the Edit>Details page
You can quickly and easily set you markups using our csv download and upload. Go here, download your csv, edit the file with the markups you want. You can use formulas to set them to be by a percentage if you want.
Yes the default is no markup. The default is also private so that no one can see you model until you are ready.

We do have a printability test. It's call the wall thickness visualizer. We also offer a wall thickness thickening tool. You can view the tool from your Edit>Model page. If your model has areas that may be trouble printing, you see the thin walls warning. You can click this to see the visualizer. If you passed the check but still want to see the visualizer, click the View Printability Center. From there, you can share the visualizer by clicking Get Feedback. This gives you a link to share the visualizer anywhere.

Ok, it's good news about thickness visualizer.

But I cannot re-gen renders if orientation of model was changed. It says "nothing to render" and did not save new orientation of model. Deleting model and re-uploading can solve it but it is not good solution. The problem is in automatic start renders without any requests. Is it possible to start it by manual way (after editing model) or by "apply" button?

Also setup prices by csv is not useful for 1000+ models with 20+ materials/finishes, it's good for one model per day. I try this possibilities many times already. Can I read csv for selected models only, not for all?

Can I offer my designs in different scales? I am not see the scale tool in my shop. Most of my rings are designed for supporting scales from 16-18mm to 20 and above. Here https://www.etsy.com/listing/212113963/generative-x-like-rin g-fr071 I offer for sale one model (for one pattern) in different scales from 16 to 25 mm ring sizes. Can I do it on Shapeways?

    Many thanks for your support.

On the edit details page, you can change the axis of your render, rotate it along that axis, then hit generate renders. Right now, you have to wait for the renders to generate before you can reorient your renders.

You can open the csv in any spreadsheet program, and search for the products you want, or the materials your want. It's pretty easy to make mass edits if you know a little about the program. I did it, and I had forgotten everything I learned 10 years ago about Excel.

There are two ways to do different sized rings. One is to upload each size you want to offer. Two is to set up the item as a co-creator. Then the buyer can select the size, and you'll upload that file to complete the order.

One additional thing about the CSV. You can remove any rows you wish, and the corresponding markups will not be affected.
You could even go so far as to only update just one model, or even just one material on one model.
You don't have to upload the entire file.. just whatever rows have changes you need to make.

Just don't add/delete any columns or change the column order.

Thanks for advice, but I have experience in Excel during many years. Problem in SEARCH for several hundred of items in Excel list with several thousands of other items which no needed in corrections. I seeing in near future then I will have several thousands of items for sales on Amazon, ETSY and probably eBay. Now I am ready to upload on Shapeways more than thousand of my 1800+ items (in main store on competitive service). HOW I WILL BECOME control all prices of it, make discounts, etc?

Shapeways is not useful for my huge collections, really. One of possible solutions may become the default settings on %% for each material/finishes in designers' account. When I will make any changes of it's default settings, Shapeways would be recompute all prices automatically. It would be great help for designers who has really many models in store.

    Best regards.

PS. Today I created 45 models of new type rings - it is less than half of whole collection which I will done and will place tomorrow to my main store. In the day after tomorrow my collection there will become about 1900+ models.

If you've got some experience with programming, you could use the API for this.

Other than using the API, I don't see why you need to "search" for specific models/materials in Excel.
Just establish some formula (such as 200%) and then apply that to all rows.
Simply go to cell L2, enter =J2*2 and then copy that cell down to the bottom of the sheet.
Export the CSV from Excel, and Upload it to Shapeways.

If you want a different percentage for each material, then you could use a VLookup function to pick the value per material.

Please understand me, really. I am need to set (as example) 5% for platinum, 10% for gold, 15% for premium silver, 18% for steel (20% for gold-plated steel)..... and 25% for non-precious materials. And after uploading 50+ models in addition to other 1000+ I will need to download csv, find needed rows in Excel and write needed formulas to NEEDED cells. How many time I will need to do it without creating macroses (or special apps) in Excel?

More over, downloaded csv still contains inactive materials also, as, example, right now csv for my current 3 models has 124 rows with settings of prices/materials/finishes for all materials. It is really bad idea for editing csv for 1000+ models (12000+ rows) manually.

If I cannot place one model for sale less than during 1 minutes, it's not good. On competitive service I doing it twice faster (uploading, copy/paste item story, tags, adding photos). I am single simple user with lot of nice ready-to-print models. Can I place it to Shapeways by fastest way? How many time I will need to do it? Recently I killed whole hour for 3 models by Shapeways user interface. Is it really good?

    Sincerely.

Download and Open the attached Spreadsheet.
Open the Pricing CSV file. (you'll end up with two sheets open at once)

In cell L2 of the CSV, paste this code:
    Code:
    =J3+ROUND(J3*VLOOKUP(B3,'[MarkupScheme.xlsx]Markup List'!$A:$C,3,0),2)
Copy that formula to every cell down to the bottom of the column.
    Code:
    Select cell L2.
    Press SHIFT+END+DOWN
    press Ctrl-D
    Save the CSV
    Upload to Shapeways.

Note: I did not enter a markup for some materials. You need to update those as desired before saving the CSV.

You can go to the MarkupScheme spreadsheet and make any changes you wish - those changes will be updated automatically.
Just remember to save any changes for the next time.

Error in formula. Microsoft Excel 2003 RU Corporate edition SP3.

    This syntax =VLOOKUP(38, A2:C10, 3, FALSE) or =VLOOKUP(38, A2:C10, 3, 0) not working correctly, only like here =VLOOKUP(B2, A2:C100, B18)

    PS. Maybe, = J2+ROUND(J2*VLOOKUP(B2;'[MarkupScheme.xls]Markup List'!$A:$C;3;0);2)

PPS. It's working if do it by formulas with localized functions/rules of Excel with link to .xls version of Excel before 2007.

    = J2+J2*ВПР(B2;'[MarkupScheme.xls]Markup List'!$A:$C;3;0)

I will try to use it soon.

    Thank you very much!
