Shapeways is telling me my object is to small

  1. i uplaod an iphone case and shapways is telling me it does not fit into the minimum .5 x .5 x.5mm box even though the smallest measurement is 1.3 cm. what is wrong or how could i fix this?

    Try uploading it as Inches rather than Millimeters.

    Yeah, you always have to watch your units, especially in programs that aren't meant to have 'real' units, such as Cinema 4D (which I use). For some reason, I need to scale everything up by a factor of ten in Cinema 4D, because it seems to export everything one unit smaller (so if I wanted 10mm, I'd need to design it as 10cm in C4D). Just be aware of your units and make sure they're what you want. Bringing a model into NetFabb is a quick way to check the units are correct.
