    Hi Shapeways fans,

JumblePrism is a twisty puzzle like Rubik's Cube. Following an idea by Bram Cohen, it has the geometry of a triangular prism.

    For the experts:
-The puzzle is "jumbled" as the six faces turn by non-integer fractions of 360 degrees.
-The puzzle is "bandaged" as some pieces can mathematically be considered a composition of more elementary pieces.

    For the non-experts:
-This is a very difficult and highly confusing puzzle.

    Buy the puzzle:

    Look at the photos below.

    Enjoy!

Another amazing contraption! Any plans to have them mass produced? Maybe in a price range that normal mortals can handle?

Hi Max (is that your name?),

    Thank you for the compliment.

I am always trying to find manufacturers for my ideas, to make them available to "normal mortals" as you say. Still, most of my designs never get beyond the prototype stage. Thanks to Shapeways, it is now possible for true fans to obtain a sample, albeit at vintage prices.

Like you, I am looking for the day that 3D printing would cost only $0.10 per cm^3. Until that day, Shapeways is the best price/quality that we can get for these puzzles.
