I wanted to take photos of my 3D sandstone models with my smartphone since I don't have an expensive camera. I also wanted to have an infinite white background. After trying many different ways, I have come up with a solution that works for me. I thought I would share my results with you: http://leonnicholls.com/taking-photos/

index.php?t=getfile&id=35313&private=0

I would love to hear any suggestions to make my photos even better.

I must say that I would have expected those photos to be renderings. White balance does seem to be one of the larger problems with taking good photos. Are there any color calibration references (like the ones on the Mars probes) that can be used to allow use with almost any light sources?
