Description ShareThis (10) You rated this model It arrived in WSF, and it WORKS for real :-) Will post new video soon. Gear system based on hypotrochoid shapes. It is printed as a 9 piece puzzle, a VERY frustrating one at that ;-) Proof of principle : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLVPA6UZDo0 Steel available on request, still untested by me. I think steel will work but probably needs some extra polishing/filing.

As far as I know there is no practical mechanical application ;-)

That's funny to see that the animation send by Gibell of Andreas Roever's website was initially inspired by Oscar van Deventer, a well known Shapeways' community member :-)
